Snowtown

Taichung, Taiwan

The spatial narrative of Snowtown is engineered to immerse every visitor into the atmospheric depths of a glacial cavern. Standing at the ticket counter, guests are met with a dramatic, seemingly bottomless vertical abyss plunged below. As they look upward, the ceiling plane reveals the ethereal, luminescent glows of an ice cave. Moving further into the chronological progression of the corridor, the space opens up to reveal pre-historic dinosaur encounters, establishing a multi-sensory, cinematic journey through time and nature.

Upon transitioning into the snow-gear zone and emerging from the cavern, visitors are instantly greeted by the panoramic vista of the "Ice and Snow Town," an immersive portal leading to further thrilling encounters—including a dynamic installation of a charging polar bear. After securing their skiing equipment, guests ascend toward the upper slopes, passing through a scenic tunnel that sequence into the main ski run. Just before making their descent, the iconic architectural silhouettes of Bryggen Town unfold before them, convincingly replicating the experience of skiing through a Nordic Norwegian landscape. During intervals of rest, guests can indulge in exclusive ski-resort culinary offerings. Should they happen to catch the scheduled indoor snowfall, the space transforms through an integrated choreography of gastronomy, bespoke lighting, and ambient acoustics, orchestrating an unforgettable, joyful winter sports experience for every visitor.
