Strategically located a mere 5-minute walk from the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station, the IKEA Taoyuan Qingpu Store spans six storeys above ground and three basement levels, encompassing a total gross floor area (GFA) of 74,596 square meters. Upon its grand opening, it established itself as the largest IKEA facility in Taiwan. The facade architecture honors the brand's heritage by incorporating the iconic blue-and-yellow palette of the Swedish flag. Concurrently, it features expansive living walls that extend the surrounding green landscape; this biophilic intervention visually softens the presence of the megastructure within its urban context, enabling the building to achieve a harmonious coexistence with the environment.
At the main entrance, we feature the iconic IKEA PS 1995 clock as a monumental entryway installation. This Scandinavian design classic is conceptually paired with the train schedules of the adjacent high-speed rail station, forging a strong temporal link between the IKEA marketplace and transit travelers. This landmark piece functions as a high-visibility urban beacon, serving as a popular rendezvous point and social media check-in location. Furthermore, the roofscape is programmed with a lush rooftop garden and green belt, offering a light-exercise amenity for both customers and neighborhood residents. Embedded within this green space, the Creative Rooftop Plaza is engineered to host diverse public welfare programs and cultural arts events.
